While we’re quick to point out that, if you don’t have kids, every hour can be happy hour — well, within reason. But, like, it’s important for people who are parents to find a healthy and happy balance. And a little time to themselves.

Do-it-yourself Halloween costumes can be super hit-or-miss, depending on your skill and how much effort you actually put into them. A lot of the time, the oldest child — or the youngest, depending on the family — can get shorted in this department, and can end up wearing a costume that was thrown together at the last minute. Other times, homemade costumes can stun and amaze everyone. So, like, know your limits.

If you’re not skilled — and please don’t lie to yourself — then we definitely recommend just buying a costume. Your kid will love it and will avoid ridicule. But it looks like Tori’s working days in advance and with plenty of materials. So hopefully she’ll turn out some first-rate costumes.
